DCUK The Forum of Flog goes Low Carb but as always a catch!

The self proclaimed "largest diabetes forum in Europe" diabetes.co.uk known almost universally as the forum of flog has gone low carb. What an amazing turn around for a forum that has banned countless low carbers over the years. From ordinary diabetics looking to spread the low carb good news, to world renowned low carb experts such as Dr. Jay Wortman. Sure the flog has always paid lip service to low carb, they had no choice, too many members, in fact almost all the successful members, both past and present are low carbers.

Over the years countless thousands of low carb posts have been deleted (including over 2000 of mine) Jays posts deleted within hours of posting and banned swiftly. The reason has been clear to see, the flog is a for profit organisation. The management have known from the start, the big money is in big pharma, and the flog has tried desperately to tie in with big pharma, as evidenced here and here.

Within the last 48 hours the flog has launched a new initiative "Take control of Type 2 Diabetes with diet" a ten week course on the benefits of the low carb diet for diabetics. As soon as I heard about this I thought great, but what's the catch, because with the forum of flog, there is always a catch. This outfits primary objective has always been about making money, and this latest stunt is about making money. The forum owner Arjun Panesar stated back in August this year to The Coventry Telegraph Newspaper as evidenced here. A "Ratner Moment" if ever I saw one.

"One of the ways the website makes money is by charging to put organisations such as pharmaceutical companies doing medical trials in touch with forum members who have diabetes."

So you see the plan here, extract information from forum members and capitalise on it. The flog constantly bombards members (including the countless numbers of banned) sales mailshots marketing a range of products and services, nothing new there.

But now we see to sign up and partake of the new low carb benefits information, the flog insists you hand over more of your private and confidential information, including your salary details. Yesterday a Mod started a thread to trumpet this new duplicitous scheme to the membership. Immediately the subterfuge was rumbled and the negative comments rolled in.

The one ray of hope here, is the fact that a conniving, manipulating, and money grabbing outfit like the forum of flog has seen the writing on the wall. Low Carb is the way forward for not only diabetics, but all looking to maintain or improve their long term health.

Flog propaganda and sales pitch

Eddie

For over seven years we have been publishing sound FREE information to diabetics and anyone looking to improve their diet and well-being, and we have never asked for or received a penny. How could we, when so much great information is out there for free. We never forget we are only messengers.

Peace

Why do think that forum is called the forum of flog.

If you are willing to take time and do the research you will find a lot of good information on the web. There are good blogs and web sites in most hemispheres. You need to read what other diabetics and their meters are saying. You need to aim for meter readings the same as a non diabetic would get. A few years ago I found this blog and its website when my husband Doug was first diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes. By following the low carb team and the recipe suggestions he has numbers in the 5's and maintains this very well. I am grateful to the team for the many posts and information they give. The recipes have been helpful and we still read them with interest.

Thank you Doug's Wife for the very kind words. As you say the good info is out there and so many want to pass on the help for free. Far too much greed in this world.

Kind regards Eddie

Anon Troll

Thanks for all the time you put in raising our profile by adding to out page views. Do you know we don't even read your rants. You give yourself away every time in the first sentence of every comment, hence, straight in the dustbin.

Rock on baby lol keep taking the drugs.
