Dietary Advice For Diabetics As Prescribed by DUK and NHS Trial.

Abstract

OBJECTIVE

To determine the effect of a multi medication regime and high carbohydrate low fat diet versus a low carb high fat diet in type 2 diabetics. (T2DM) using two hundred participants.

RESEARCH DESIGN AND METHODS

100  participants were fed a high carb high starch low fat diet, foods such as pasta, rice, bread, potatoes and baked products with every meal. Blood glucose was controlled with Actos, Avandia, Gliclazide and other lethal or pancreas destroying, hypo inducing drugs. This group of participants were prescribed statins. All drugs and some junk food supplied by DUK acknowledgements.

The control group of 100 participants used a low carb high fat diet and regular exercise regime.

RESULTS

The high carb low fat group.

After adjustment for baseline CVD and other confounders, the high carb low fat group showed progression of CVD, muscle and kidney damage was significantly higher in more frequent statin users than in less frequent users. All participants blood glucose increased to highly dangerous levels. All lipid profiles worsened, particululy triglyceride levels. HDL plummeted. Within 5 years 44 participants had died. 47 had undergone limb amputation. Almost all were displaying retinopathy, some had gone completely blind.  Varying  degrees of neuropathy was found in all surviving participants.

The low carb high fat group.

With this group blood glucose dropped to non diabetic within 7 days. Double figure HbA1c results at diagnosis had dropped to <6 within 3 months. Average weight loss in this period was 35lbs. Lipid numbers improved significantly and participants reported minimal drug use. A feeling of wellbeing and achievement was a key feature with this group. This group recorded 100% survival rate at five years. No neuropathy or retinopathy was found. Minimal medication was used by approximately one third of the group and was mainly metformin.

CONCLUSION

If you choose to follow the dietary advice propagated by the NHS and DUK it is highly recommended you seek psychiatric counselling before it is too late. The researchers concluded the NHS and DUK dietary advice remains useless, dangerous and scientifically illiterate

Please note !

If you follow the low carb high fat route to diabetic enlightenment, be very wary of some diabetes forums. Telling others about your success can lead to banning, thread locking, post deletion and vicious attacks from the survivors of the high carb medication addicted group. Be warned !

This research has been peer reviewed and accepted by Professor Emeritus  Sir Monty Beantipper HCLF RN.

"Starchy foods contain energy in the form of carbohydrates, and release this energy slowly throughout the day. You should eat starchy foods as your main source of energy"

Has phoenix lost the plot!

Quoted from her post on the thread Re: From the BBC.com website

"But what about the Swiss figures, paradox perhaps??? (caveat on data)lowish treatment levels but also , according to Kendrick, lower mortality .
A 25 year follow up of the same individuals found that for individuals each CVD risk (obesity, smoking, high BP and high cholesterol was associated with a higher CVD death rate, all 4 together was associated with a 9.6 years shorter expected survival for a man aged 50."

This is the link she provided:
